Sesame Street Bay of Play,

Sea World San Antonio

This project completely revamped the original Shamu's Happy Harbor in order to provide greater opportunities for family fun.

In addition to the new construction and renovation of existing structures and sitework, the entire area was extensively re-themed with new paint, signage, and splashy graphics, many with the Sesame Street characters.

Existing buildings were renovated, re-purposed, and re-themed, and new construction consisted of an outdoor stage with changing rooms and costume storage behind, a booth for photo opportunities with Sesame characters, two new family rides, and an accessible carousel with que-line shade structures. In addition, the children's water play area was tripled in size with accommodations for toddlers in a separate wet area; an adjacent bathhouse with changing rooms was also included.

Work performed while a Principal at Fisher Heck Architects.
